✦About The War Table✦ Here is where The Maker, and Mythal will hand down missions that five adventures can pair up, and try to take on. These missions can range from anything, and take place anywhere in the world of Thedas. This board will be used to post "missions" that our members can sign up for in a group of five. This is here to try and get our members to get closed together, and explore the land. This board can also be used as a bit of a cheat sheet when a activity check come across. What this means it that a week before an activity check is doing to drop, 4-6 missions will be posted to give everyone plenty of opportunity to get a character in on one, and have the mission thread count towards the activity check. ✦ War Table Rules ✦ The rules are pretty simple, and easy to follow. They are as follows: I. The only ones allowed to post missions are staff. II. In order to be part of a mission you MUST fill out the application form shown below. III. A single character can have a max of TWO UNFINISHED missions assigned to them. This is in place to allow for everyone on the forum to have a chance to get a character in on a mission if they want to. IV. Only FIVE characters are allowed to take part in a mission V. The slots available for missions will be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE VI. There will occasionally be "special" missions. These missions will be allowed ten slots. VII. The special missions will still be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE VIII. The ONLY exception for special missions will be that each board member is allowed ONE character on a special mission. If we do not have enough characters to fill all slots, then members will be allowed to slot in ONE more character on once again a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. IX. Regular missions will be posted and kept open for a 24 hour period of it being posted. Special Missions will be posted and kept open for 48 hours of it being posted. This is to ensure that all members have a change to apply for a slot. X. If slots are still open on Regular missions after a 24 hour period a member of Staff will slot in one of their characters. XI. If slots are still open on Special Missions after a 48 hour period a Staff member will post and prompt members to post one more character. (THIS WILL BE A BOARD ANNOUNCEMENT) ✦ War Table Missions ✦ Concerning missions. For both the normal and special missions after each member assigned to the mission posts has posted twice either Mythal, or The Maker will post as NPCs, obstacles, any random thing that could effect the mission. Ex. The mission entails members to go to a certain place in Thedas, and gather information from NPCs. Mythal and The Maker will be posting as these NPCs giving the mission members information before sending them on their way. Ex. The mission entails members to go and take out a group of NPCs (Bandits, Demons, etc. etc.) Mythal and The Maker will be posting as these NPCs.
We are doing this as a way to both keep an eye on the mission threads, and help move the thread along and keep things interesting in a way, seeing as there is no way of knowing what members will encounter. ✦ How To Apply For ✦ ✦ Missions ✦ All that is needed to apply for a mission to fill out the application right below this. PLEASE fill the application out under the account of the character you wish to take part in the mission you are applying for. This will help Staff keep track of which characters are taking part in a mission, so the same character isn't taking a slot in every mission posted.
